Vincent Thomas, mainly known as MELo V, is originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was born on January 12, 1991. MELo V spent his childhood between New Jersey and North Carolina, moving to Henderson at the age of seven. Music was a major part of his life, developing the skills to create his first song at 11.

MELo V started to use music as an outlet to express himself and began writing relatable lyrics for everyone.

In 2013, MELo V was recognized for his unique and versatile lyrics by Grammy Award-winning artists. He has opened up for R&B singer Raheem Devaughn, Jim Jones and has toured with international DJ Sliink" of Owsla, performing at the Oakland Coliseum for the Annual Supercity Summer Fest 2016, with headliner EDM superstar Skrillex. MELo V is influenced by Gerald Levert, Musiq Soulchild, and Marvin Gaye. His community and two children are also inspirations for his musical journey. MELo V was featured on Worldstarhiphop, HipHopDX, Blackaphillyated and most recently BET Jams. His two singles "Bad Girls Only" and "Love You In The Rain" premiered on HOT 97.

MELo V wants to continue giving back to his community and become a great influence on the children. He had a 'Back to School ' book-bag Giveaway, giving out over 100 book bags, school supplies, and food. MELo V also gifted a mother with a "Bad Girls Only" makeover.
